Home stretch! Overdraft: The Orion Offensive Episode 7 now online

And we're in the home stretch for Overdraft: The Orion Offensive — although for Jamie, Bridget, and the members of Surge Sigma, the finish line is looking pretty far away! After the big reveals in the last episode, we find out many truths in Episode 7, "Strike Price,"  downloading today to subscribers. Click to subscribe now, or check your Kindle account for it if you've already subscribed.

In "Strike Price," Jamie learns the full truth about the Xylanx — and makes what he thinks is the deal of the millennium. Or is it? Meanwhile, Bridget and her team fight for their lives — against their own station!

I've also continued my ongoing quest to get the production notes and trivia for Overdraft online; two more episodes have been added, bringing the notes to the halfway point. And, amazingly, the Overdraft Glossary and the Overdraft Timeline are up to the minute, now covering Episode 7. Since the timeline in particular refers to events happening in the stories, consider a spoiler warning attached.

The serial is indeed in its final weeks, so now is the time to take advantage of the e-book deal if you're in the United States. The complete e-book will sell for $3.99 in the U.S. market when it's done, so the $1.99 serial is your best deal. The completed e-book will be available internationally; an order page for it — and for the physical book, priced at $14.95 — will be up soon.

Finally, a reminder that I have also joined Goodreads, at long last: follow me here. There's an Overdraft page for it at Goodreads already. I've got a contest on there, too: we're giving away a signed Advance Reader Copy of Kenobi. Enter here!

Lost Tribe of the Sith Spiral TPB hits shelves!

I'm running behind on a number of things, so here's the first: the graphic novel collected edition of Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith - Spiral arrived in stores on Wednesday, representing the latest chapter in the tale of the Sith castaways on Kesh. You can find the book at your local retailer or order the book here. I've also established a landing page for the book here on the site, though I still have to do production notes for a couple of the issues.

Speaking of, I added trivia for the second episode to the page for Overdraft: The Orion Offensive. I also brought the Glossary and Timeline pages up to date for the sixth episode. The seventh episode, "Strike Price", releases Tuesday for Kindle subscribers. Time's running out to get the entire work at the serial price of $1.99; click here to subscribe!

And I have added a landing page (overdue, naturally) for Star Wars: Knight Errant - Escape, which is also now available as a graphic novel. All the notes for that one are done and on the site.

Double the 'Draft! Overdraft production notes and Episode 6 now online

The Overdraft: The Orion Offensive serial is at the far turn, ready to make the stretch run for home —and there are some big twists and turns indeed in Episode 6, "Tender Offer," downloading today to subscribers.  Click to subscribe now, or check your Kindle account for it if you've already subscribed.

In "Tender Offer," salesman Jamie is forced to pretend to be a member of Bridget's team of armored warriors during the Great Kano Clearing — an Oklahoma-style land rush with giant robots — even as he becomes increasingly concerned the team will throw him to the wolves. With the law closing in, Jamie looks for any chance to escape — and gets an offer from a surprising source. But there are yet more surprises to come, as we learn the truth about the Xylanx — and about someone else, who harbors a great secret.

And something new this time out: I have posted the production notes and trivia for Overdraft. The behind-the-scenes material covers the entire work; the trivia, this far, covers just the first episode, and will be expanded in the coming weeks. The spoiler warning is thus in play only for those who haven't read any of the story so far.

With the serial approaching its conclusion in a few weeks, the deal for it is better than ever — $1.99 immediately gets you a work that's already 75% of novel-length, plus the next two episodes completing the story. And there are more resources here on site, including the Overdraft Glossary and the Overdraft Timeline, that you can check out; I'll update them with the Episode 6 material shortly.

Time enough for the timeline

The fifth episode of my Overdraft serial "Tip from a Dip," is out, bringing the serial to the halfway point — and the Glossary and the Timeline have been brought up to date. There's a lot of stuff added to the timeline in particular this time out, as Episode 5 included quite a bit of detail about the history of their world. I don't think I've mentioned it in a while, but you can also post questions about the serial on the Overdraft story forum, which Amazon has set up.

Next Tuesday sees the release of Overdraft Episode 6, titled "Tender Offer" — we'll see who makes the offer to whom!

Just barely got the timeline update done, as I've been pretty busy this past week working on various projects (though not too busy to get a new historical post on Comichron). There should be some news to announce in the next few days on one of those things, so stay tuned.

Incidentally, the Advance Reader Copies have been going out for Star Wars: Kenobi, and the early feedback has been gratifying. (I'm pleased I was able to get a copy to my sister, to whom the book is dedicated, in time for her birthday!)
